Interesting Stance (Bullock's Oriole)
A male bullock's oriole holds himself up between two branches as he chases other orioles in his territory.

Female Bullocks Oriole
Caught this female oriole on the way to her nest which was located on a low branch in plain sight from the walking path.

Male Bullocks Oriole
This male bullocks oriole came pretty close today at Cinnamon Ridge.

Bullocks Oriole 2018 #2
Oops! Found another image. Thought that I only had the one but this one is even better I think. Taken on a different branch at a slightly better head angle. You be the judge.

Bullocks Oriole 2018
These guys were pretty hard to get a good image of. This is about the closest one of the trip. Amazing colors! It always seems to be the nice birds that are the hardest to photograph.

Peek A Boo Oriole ( Bullocks Oriole)
They will never see me behind this branch.

Tranquille Oriole (Bullocks Oriole)
Quite a few male orioles on the bike path near the Kamloops airport. Seemed a bit different this year as many nests were right down low and not high in the cottonwood trees like usual.

Kamloops Bullocks Oriole
The prettiest birds are often the most difficult to photograph. Got this bullocks oriole along with five of his buddies out near the airport at Cinnamon Ridge.

Early Arrival #2 (Bullocks Oriole)
Here is a second image in portrait mode. These were the only two good shots that I was able to get before he went off to hide under the leaves. Tried to get him to come out for more pics but he just spent the rest of the time cackling at me from a distance. The more beautiful the bird, the harder they are to photograph.

Early Arrival (Bullocks Oriole)
Sorry about this one. I had to settle for a bit of a crop. Didn't have the 600mm with me this time so I took this image with the 100-400mm. No, I did not crank up the saturation. Colors are as they came out of the camera.

Climbing in the Cottonwood
Here is a Bullock's Oriole a bit farther away in a cottonwood tree. These birds are very skittish and hard to photograph. Took a couple of hours just to get a handfull of good images.

Another Bullock's Oriole
Found a couple of nice Bullock's Orioles at Grant Narrows near Pitt Lake this weekend.

Juniper Beach Oriole
Sorry about this one. Not quite up to "Steve Standards". Had to be satisfied with a key hole shot through the branches. These guys are really warry and hard to setup on. Only two breeding males at Juniper Beach when I went to visit and they never seemed to sit still for long.
